Okay, update. After all of this calling, and with today being the first day of sweeps, I did not expect a reply at all. Being that the last time I sent this news director an email, he didn't reply. But yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! I sent a short little follow up email and not even 5 minutes later he replied back, said I'm still in the running for the job, and he hopes to restart/start the process again next week!!!!

Yay!! That's hot. The most important thing with any job, but maybe more so with journalism is follow-up. Stay on them. Let them know you're interested, because someone else definitely is.
